However, the locked videos won't be overwritten. We do suggest you format the SD card weekly to prevent too many locked videos from taking up space. 3M Motion Detection With the Motion detection on, the cam will automatically start recording about 10s when there is a movement in front of the lens. However, motion detection only functions when the camera is on stand-by mode(the cam is on but not recording). Therefore, you may need to connect the cam to your car battery or fuse box via a hardwire kit(not included) if you would like the cam to work while parked. Screen Saver After a while the screen shuts off during recording, which is for energy saving while the cam is still recording. If you want to keep the screen stay on when recording, please enter the setting mode and turn off the ‘screen saver'’ setting. High-definition Playback The playback mode allows us to playback the videos on the unit itself, which helps us check the videos anywhere and anytime, especially when some incidents occur.
