Each piece begins with raw sheet glass that has been cut down by hand and assembled in an electric kiln. The glass is then heated to approximately 1500 degrees Fahrenheit to melt it into shape. Once the soap dish is cooled, drainage holes are hand drilled, the piece is then sandblasted and re-fired to achieve a soft matte finish, called a "fire polish".Approximate size
