Betty Teapot care:
Betty teapots are made from the local clay and are not as strong as the fine bone china ones, which conduct heat more easily. Since the terracotta type of clay does not tolerate thermal stresses well it is always better to warm them before use.
Note: if you have stone/marble worktops it is best not to have the Betty teapot sitting directly on the counter top when pouring in boiling water as these types of counters can lead to cracking.
